Priya slowly walks into the house..her heart feels heavy..strange that Ram came into her life just a few days ago and she can think of little else now. She walks into the house, greets her parents and puts the flowers into a vase lovingly..
Priya: (thinks) Ram, you are so thoughtful..loved the fact that you took the effort to get the flowers not just order them..it means so much..there is such a lot I want to say to you…but..I am tongue-tied in your presence. I look forward to meeting you, spending time with you..and tonight you are leaving..I feel miserable. What a morning this was!! To see you wait for me made me feel so special..we sang together..made me think our lives would be like sweet music..I wish I could hear you sing more..

Priya: Mmm me too…
Ram: Wish I could meet you…
Priya: I wish so too..
Ram: Then what are you waiting for?
Priya: What? How can I come now? I have work to do.

Ram: Tho kya you don’t want to meet me before I leave?
Priya: Of course I want to meet you but….

Priya ( looks at her phone)…Bye!
She sprays her favourite perfume and decides that she will have to wait to meet Ram again..might as well start her writing work..She decides to go downstairs to get her breakfast and then start writing. She walks down the stairs and is surprised to see Ram in discussion with his parents!!! She cannot help smiling..
Ram: (very casually) Hi Priya..how are you?
Priya: Hi Ram..I am fine thank you..
Shipra: Beta, I invited Ram for breakfast today as he is leaving for Mumbai in the evening. Mein bataana bhool gayi..
Priya nods: No problem ma, I will make something good..
Shipra: Everything is ready..bas you make paranthas and Ram’s favourite adrak wali chai…
Priya: Yes ma…she smiles and excuses herself and goes into the kitchen..
Ram texts her..
Ram: Hey someone just took my breath away…am searching for my senses!!
Priya: Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?
Ram: Compliment kiya hai…won’t you thank me?
Priya: Oh! Was that a compliment?? I did not know..
Priya looks out at Ram who is sitting calmly texting on his phone..her parents think he is doing some office work!!!
Ram: Hey gorgeous…kitchen se stare karna bandh karo..your parents are sitting right in front of you…kisine dekh liya tho gadbad ho jayegi..but waise it does feel good!!!
Priya: I wasn’t staring…
Ram: Really? Aur…haan thoda sa aata nose pe lagaa hai…wipe it off…or should I come there?? :P
Priya: haaaaaaaw Ram…aap bhee na? Now who is staring?
Ram: It is not my fault…you look drop-dead gorgeous..I can’t help it.. :P :P
Priya: Don’t you think you have texted enough..Papa is going to wonder what is wrong with you…will get your breakfast and chai..
Ram: Priya..chai mein cheeni kum..just the way you made it last time..yummmm
Priya: If I keep texting you like this..I may add salt instead of sugar..
Ram: Never mind..will drink it knowing you made it so it has to be good!!!
Priya brings the breakfast tray to the dining room where the Sharmas are seated and so is Ram.
Priya serves breakfast to them all and takes a plate for herself. The conversation is light and funny. Priya watches the whole thing quietly..the topic changes to Karthik and Natasha’s wedding.
Ram: Mr Sharma, I am going back to Mumbai tonight. I will discuss with the entire family. I think we should not wait too long. Engagement pehle kar denge…will consult Ma and Dadi..they will look for auspicious dates for the engagement and the wedding too. I hope this is alright with you?
Sudhir: Beta, of course..why should we wait..let us have an engagement as soon as possible. Shipra??
Shipra: Absolutely…I cannot wait to meet my bahu.
Ram: Oh that is great then!! Priya, I hope you are ok with the plans? Ram smiles..
Priya: that is lovely…and smiles back at him.
Ram : Great then…I should take leave, I have some work to finish, pack and then leave. I will talk to ma and Dadi and let you know. I had a fabulous time here..now I am going back a totally changed person.

Ram (looks at Priya, smiles) See you Priya…take care.
Priya (trying hard to control her emotions) Bye Ram..have a safe flight.
Ram gets into his car and reverses it…. He can see his love of his life…waving at him..looking lost..
Priya walks back to her room, shuts the door..and sits down thinking..of each and every moment she has spent with Ram…

Ram: Priya..we have our entire lives ahead of us…of course aaj your parents were there and obviously you could not speak to me..but mein itna bhee bura nahin hoon..
Priya: Ram, aapki packing ho gayi? What time is your flight? Give me a call once you land ok?
Ram: Mrs Priya Ram Kapoor…hahaha yes madam, packing ho gayi..flight is at 9.15pm..you would be asleep when I call you..kal subah call karoonga ok?
Priya: What did you call me? We are not yet married…
Ram: You are mine…haan officially, you become Mrs Priya Ram Kapoor after our wedding..but you already are in my mind..my wife!!!
Priya cannot say anything..she smiles… Ram is becoming bolder..uff aur yeh kitne saare smileys..

Priya: No.. Was wondering if it is really you? Itne saare smileys use karte hain aap?
Ram: Priya....aaj hee seekha...it conveys a lot of what I want to express!

A few hours later….
Ram gets into the car…leaves for the airport..his heart filled with love, everything looks beautiful. The drive to the airport is a pleasant one- because Priya fills his mind- there is an inner peace now…he knows she is his and his going away now will bring her to him forever..
Priya misses Ram too but realises that Ram is hers- she cannot wait for Karthik and Natasha’s engagement..obviously they would meet! She goes through mixed feelings..
Priya takes out her diary and writes..
Life can be full of surprises..just a few days ago, I was filled with melancholy..today everything seems so perfect..things have happened so fast..my meeting Ram, both of us falling in love..this is such a fine feeling. In Ram, I have finally met the person I want to spend my life with- his simplicity, his charm, his dignity…he just swept me off my feet. I cannot wait to meet his ..no my family now! After all, when he is mine, his family is mine as well. I feel truly blessed today.
