Vikram and Neha walk upto Ram.
Vikram: Ram…ek minute..
Ram ( excuses himself) Ma, Dadi…mein Vikram se baat karke aata hoon! Dadi ( annoyed) Lo aa gaya…oye Vikram mere pothey ke saath do baatein bhee nahin karne deta..uff
Priya smiles.
Ram: Hey Vikram…bol yaar..kya baat hai?
Vikram ( very softly) Shouldn’t I be asking you that question…mmm waise I loved that dance you guys did..haaye haaye close dancing ..
Ram: (looks around quickly) chup kar bhey… marwayega tu…
Neha joins in the fun…
Neha: Vikram..did you know which song they were dancing to? Take my breath away..guess Ram got carried away..
Ram: Shushhhhh both of you..she is looking..
Neha: Oho…how do you know she is watching..Gosh Vikram look at Ram he is blushing so much!!!
Priya catches Ram blushing and raises her eyebrows with a smirk. Ram simply glares at her. Vikram and Neha giggle!
Neha walks up to Priya with her hand held out and a big smile on her face.
Priya gets up to greet her. Neha: Hi Priya…I am Neha. Priya: (smiles) Hi Neha…very nice to meet you. Neha: Hey give me a hug…
Neha hugs her and softly says..Priya..I am so happy for you and Ram..God bless you guys. We must catch up!
Neha tells Dadi and Krishnaji : Hi Dadi…mein Priya ke saath thoda baatcheet kar loon.
Dadi: Lo, yeh bhee aa gayi..ab Priya bhee gayi…
Neha : Priya..chalo na..let’s go there…and murmurs..waise tumhara Ram intezaar kar raha hai..
Priya blushes and Ram catches her blushing and winks at her.
They walk up to Ram and Vikram..
Ram: Vikram…this is Priya.
Vikram: Hi Priya…..bhabhi..
Priya: Oh! Hi please call me Priya..
Vikram: Ram has told me so much about you..
Priya: (looks wide-eyed at Ram) and softly..Ram…???
Ram: Oye maine kuch nahin kaha..he is just teasing Priya.
Vikram: Haan haan, but seriously Priya..Ram is so happy now. Thank you so much! I kept wondering what happened in Kodaikanal that Ram was such a changed man. Now I know…Priya happened to him!
Priya blushes again..
Ram: Priya… it was your condition that we do not tell anyone about this but the rate at which you are blushing…mm Dadi and Ma are sure to pester you with questions!
Neha: Ok boys…Priya and I are off for some nice girlie talk…Ram you can spend time with Vikram and be happy.
Ram: Neha!! How romantic! Spend time with your husband when all I want to do is…
Vikram and Neha: All you want to do is??
Ram: Shut up you two.. get lost Neha.
Priya happily watches the camaraderie between all of them.
Neha and Priya talk about a whole lot of things..mostly about Ram..his likes, dislikes..his college life.
Neha: Priya..I never thought Ram would fall in love with someone..he is such a nice guy..he never talks about his money or status. We tried match-making but Ram was never impressed. He had this mental picture of yours and was searching for you all these years! I am glad he found you.
Priya : I am lucky Neha..I was looking for him too!
Neha excuses herself and goes to call Vikram. Priya talks to the other relatives..all the while Ram looks at her… Neha: Vikram?? Leave Ram and come elsewhere..let us make a plan..don’t tell Ram anything! Vikram excuses himself and leaves the room.
Vikram: Ok bolo kya hai?
Neha: We should all meet up..kahin bahar..
Vikram: yeh kehne ke liye bulaya..you could have told me all this even there..
Neha: No, we won’t tell these two anything..otherwise they will refuse. I will bring Priya…you bring Ram..we can meet and spend a nice evening…and mmmm…
Vikram: haaye haaye meri darling biwi..ek tho Ram aur Priya ke bahaaney apna romantic date bhee set kar diya??
Ok! Great idea..but do one thing..you go and pick Priya up..I will ask Ram to pick me up…we will meet up at the club house and then go on a drive , have dinner and come back..just that..uss drive pe…Ram and Priya will go in his car, we will go in ours!!
Neha is excited..they agree on the super plan and go back to the family.
Dinner is on and Priya watches with amusement as the Kapoors eat with gusto..Ram cannot help laughing at Priya’s choice of food…salads and veggies! He takes his food to a table and texts her..
Ram: Darling…sirf leaves khaa rahi ho? You need lots of strength!
Priya: Leaves nahin..salad and yes this is healthy and I am quite strong thank you!
Ram: Really?? Your waist is pretty tiny…I could carry you easily…and you need strength to mmm
Priya: Ram? You are teasing me again..
Ram: Biwi…I love to tease you and listen to your Raaaaaaaam pleaaaaaaase!
Priya: Ram eat your food before others wonder why you have not touched your food!
Ram: Mmmm I want to eat with you…tumhare haath ka khana and fed by you..
Priya: Awww Ram…just a little longer ok? Chalo go and eat now
They see Dadi walk towards Ram…Ram puts his phone back into his pocket and starts eating!
The family finally call it a day and decide to meet up for a shopping trip the next morning at an exclusive place.. The Kapoors and the Sharmas arrive promptly at the store which has been kept open for their exclusive shopping trip. They are all surprised to see Ram come along with them!
Ram: ( thinks) Love makes a man do crazy things for sure!! Cannot imagine I am here on this shopping trip….well I will choose Priya’s saree!
Priya walks in with her parents and Karthik and is pleasantly surprised to see Ram who winks at her!
Priya looks at the sarees…deciding what to choose…Ram looks on from a distance..
Priya looks at different sarees..looking up at Ram who is across the room for approval. Ram finally smiles when she decides on her choice..a turquoise blue silk saree with silk thread embroidery..very classy and gorgeous! Ram chooses a blue sherwani in a similar shade much to Priya’s surprise!!
The Kapoors and Sharmas spend lots of time and money on the selection of clothes.
Ram (thinks) I never knew shopping was fun.. of course that was because my Priya was there and I was choosing for her!
Priya (thinks) such a different experience..again Ram’s choice is awesome!! Just wish we could talk..Ram is right, it is getting very very difficult to talk to him like a stranger! Her phone rings..
Neha: Heeyyyyyyyyy Priya… let us meet up today evening..we will go out for dinner..I will pick you up around 5pm..is that ok with you?
Priya ( laughs) Hiiiiiiiiii Neha…do you make decisions for others always? On a lighter note, yes Neha, I am free tonight..I will come out for dinner with you.
Neha: Thanks Priya…hehe sorry I sort of bull-dozed my way around! But really glad you will be able to make it! See you at 5 then!
Neha hangs up the phone.
While the other Kapoors and Sharmas are busy..Ram quietly walks to Priya..
Ram: Hey Biwi.. nice saree you chose…mmm so should I ask the designer to contact you?
Priya: Why??
Ram: Why? Because…. Jaane do..haha!
Priya: Raaaaaam aap bhee na..
Ram: Ok ok..Biwi..mere saath dinner aaj?
Priya: Oh Ram, I cannot…I am going out with Neha..sorry Ram.
Ram: (disappointed) Oh…I was hoping I could spend some time with you..but theek hai .. have a nice time with Neha.
Ram goes away and Vikram calls him after a while.
Vikram: Hi Ram..let’s meet up tonight man..I need to discuss a few things with you.
Ram: Chal anyway I am free.. your biwi spoilt my plans ab at least you are there..
Vikram: Oh Ram..yaar please pick me up around 5..Neha took my car !
Ram: Ok..will come by 5..need to rush now..have a few things to sort out first.
Priya dresses up casually for the evening out with Neha. Her jeans and top make her look much younger than she actually is!
She brushes her silky straight hair and twists it and puts a clip..she wears flat strappy sandals.
Priya ( thinks) Neha is so nice.. so warm and friendly. I feel comfortable in her presence. It would be a great evening getting to know her..
She looks at herself in the mirror and smirks..
Priya (telling herself) Dressed up so soon? Why? Because you are not meeting Ram?? Priya… you would have worn one of your classy chiffons and low-cut blouses, taken more time to do your make-up because you love to see ‘that’ look on his face when he sees you.. ab kya hua? Jeans, top..flat sandals..of course with Ram you wear heels..uff he is so tall! She laughs at herself. Priya walks out to speak to her parents.
Shipra: Beta are you ready? Yeh kya..jeans, top and twisted hair?? Can’t you wear something nice..like a saree? Itna simple? Priya..you look so nice in a saree. Yesterday, you looked so stunning ki sab dekhte reh gaye!
Priya ( blushes) Ma….aap bhee na! I am going out for a casual evening with Neha..and what is wrong with jeans and top? And you know I don’t wear much make-up anyway!
Shipra : Waise puchne wali thee…yesterday, you wore a simply fantastic saree..have never seen it before? Kab lee tuney..
Priya ( squirms) woh maa..mein..
Suddenly Neha walks in with a Hiiiiiiiiiiii Priya..chalein??
Priya: Oh Hi Neha…yessssss I am ready..
She hugs her mother and leaves- all the time thanking her stars that Neha saved the day for her…Her mother was a smart woman! Neha: Priya..you look gorgeous..totally different today- you look like a college-going girl.. Neha thinks…Ram you are a goner today!!! Priya is a stunner- no make-up, casual clothes and she still makes heads turn! Priya: Neha…don’t embarrass me. So tell me where are we going?
Neha: Wow you are so excited to go out with me? Well…today is going to be a great evening for us! I just have a little work enroute. Let us go there first and then ek long drive…. Dinner..drive back home..ok with you?
Priya: Oh wow..nice plan..
Ram dresses in his casual jeans, a nice cotton shirt and aviator glasses..casual and stylish..He splashes his favourite cologne liberally..he can’t help thinking..
Ram (thinks) Priya loves the way I smell…still can’t believe she said that!! OMG she finds me attractive..ME? Yeh Neha bhee..all I want to do is be with Priya..aur Neha ne sab bighaad diya..and Priya seems so excited to go out with her!!
Ram( thinking) Toh kya hua..let her enjoy herself..get to know Neha.. she is accepting your friends too! Doesn’t that say something..she loves everything that has to do with you!!!
Ram goes to pick Vikram up and asks..
Ram: Oye..where are we heading off to? I have to discuss a few things with you.
Vikram: Haan haan discuss kar lenge..first drive to the club house..have some work there..wahan se let us go on a nice drive..dinner? Wow..what weather man! Light drizzle..perfect for a nice drive!!
Ram glares at Vikram…
Ram: Perfect for a nice drive indeed…lovely weather..great car..par tere saath?? How romantic na? Chup kar..chal buckle your seat belt and let’s go!
They reach the club house..And…
Ram: Oh Man!!! Vikram…what is Neha doing here..Oh Priya..is with her…Don’t tell me..don’t tell me you guys set us up.. Ram gets out of the car and hugs Vikram who laughs loudly…
Vikram: Oye oye…what kind of a reaction is that..you are hugging me??? Chal jaa..get your Priya..you guys drive to our regular haunt at Lonavla…I will drive down with my biwi…romantic drive ho jayega..phir let us eat dinner and come back..waise if you don’t want to come back and erm erm tho we will understand…
Ram: Chup kar .. nothing of that sort ok? Shut up and let me go..
Neha parks the car and Priya sees Ram’s car parked opposite and Ram hugging Vikram..
Priya: Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Neha…Ram yahaan?
The girls get out of the car…Priya waves to Ram shyly..
Ram walks up to Neha and envelopes her in a bear hug..
Ram: Neha…you brat…so this was all your plan?? Why didn’t I see it?
Neha: Ram..don’t tell me! Are you complaining? Shakal se tho dikh nahin raha? Peth mein laddoo phoot rahe hain!!
Ram laughs loudly..and pulls Priya’s hand!
Priya : (softly) Hi Ram..
Ram: Hiiiiiiiii Priya..chalo let’s go..
Vikram: Haaye haaye..Neha…just see he is in such a hurry to leave…at least let me say hi to Priya!
Ram : Haan haan say hi fast..
Vikram laughs and they move to their respective cars..Ram walks close to Priya..opens the car door..his hand on the roof as usual and walks around to get in..he fastens his seat belt and the powerful engine purrs with excitement of a lovely drive! Vikram waves to Ram and says loudly…Koi jaldi nahin hai..take your own sweet time and winks!!
Ram laughs loudly and Priya puts her hand on her forehead with embarrassment!
Ram deftly manoeuvres the car through heavy traffic..whistling ‘Kya Yehi pyaar hai’ as he drives on..stealing glances at her..
Priya looks out of the window..and also cannot help looking at Ram!
Ram: So?? Are you done? Priya: what? Ram ( laughs loudly) Done drooling?? Priya: Raaaaaaaaaaaam… Ram: Haha..I caught you stealing glances at me..
Priya: Aur aap kya kar rahe the..weren’t you looking at me as well?
Ram: Biwi itni khubsurat hai toh…is it my fault?
Priya: Haan..when my husband is so handsome..I cannot stop myself from looking as well!
Ram: haaye haaye..you know Priya..when you say ‘my husband’ I feel so happy and proud.
Priya (smiling) And I love it when you call me ‘biwi’… it sounds so…so..
Ram( laughing softly) Intimate??
Priya: Hmm.. blushes…
Ram: Waise I like this new look too… jeans and kurti.. very mmmm… thinks..I have to do something about her hair!!
Ram laughs softly and switches on the car stereo…

The car starts climbing the winding roads of the western ghats..the temperature drops and there is a little drizzle..the smell of wet earth beckons..Priya rolls down the window and puts her hand outside collecting raindrops in her palm.. Ram looks at her and smiles..
Ram: Priya…I saw you do that the first time..I fell in love with your beautiful hands!
Priya: Ram.. you embarrass me..
Ram: Arrey embarrassed for what? Acha..let us take a short break now..there is this nice place with a fabulous view.. Mrs Kapoor, would you like to have a cup of Adrak wali chai with me?
Priya: Mrs Kapoor tho not yet Ram…I am still Ms Sharma..remember? So..don’t get ideas ok?
Ram: I just wanted to have a cup of tea with you..what ideas? He safely parks the car..gets the thermos out with two mugs..
Priya: Give it to me Ram..I will pour it out for you..
They get out of the car..Priya pours out the tea and hands it to him..she takes her cup and has a sip..
Ram: Priya…just give me your cup..my chai is not sweet… he takes a sip from her cup..mmmmm yummmmm this is what I need.. Priya: Raaaaaaam… you are impossible..cheeee aisa koi karta hai kya?
Ram: Chee? Kyun…meri biwi ho..haq hai mujhe.. I just had your chai..isme kya hai..lo take this..waise I have not drunk the tea.. Priya quietly takes the cup from him and drinks it…
She finishes her tea and takes Ram’s cup and rinses both the cups and puts it back in the car.
Priya: Ram…chalein?
Ram: Kya jaldi hai Priya…see how beautiful this place looks? Come let’s walk here… anyway the place we are going is not far away..I just want to spend some time with you..
Ram and Priya walk closely together..Ram takes Priya’s hand in his..laces her finger in his..kisses her hand.
Priya blushes furiously. Ram holds her hand close to his chest as they walk together.
Ram: Thank you very much Priya.
Priya (puzzled) Thank you for what Ram?
Ram: For coming into my life Priya… for these lovely moments I am spending with you! For making feel I belong…
Priya: Ram..please don’t say thank you Ram…I am yours.
Priya rests her head on his shoulder..Ram puts his hand across her shoulders in a tight hug..They walk back to the car. Priya stands facing Ram her back resting on the car door… Ram looks at her and slowly pulls the clip out of her hair, making it fall in a cascade. He slowly runs his hand through her hair..
Ram: Beautiful Priya…don’t tie it up…I love it this way…love it very much.
Priya: Rraaam… aap..mein..
Ram cups her cheeks..his cologne teasing her.
Ram (very very softly) Biwi… cannot wait longer.. I am going to inform our families the moment Karthik and Natasha get married.
Priya blushes and looks down…
Ram: Hey Biwi..ek tho you blush so much..ab neeche dekh rahi ho? Kya hua? You are not wearing your high heels..should I carry you to make you look at me?
Priya: ( looks up with shock) Raaaaaaaaam Please..no…
Ram laughs…ok ok don’t get scared ..won’t carry you…today!! Chalo get into the car..unless you want to spend some more time here with me…like this..in my arms!!!
Priya pushes his hand away and opens the car door..Ram gets in with a smile..
Ram waits for her to fasten her seat-belt and asks..
Ram: Priya…how would you like to get married?
Priya: Mmm Ram…you know me…you tell me how should we get married?
Ram: Priya…a simple wedding..
Priya…At home..
Ram: With just our families.. loved ones..
Priya: No fuss..
Ram looks at her with pride..Priya..we think alike..we will have a beautiful wedding I promise.
Priya: Yes Ram..with you by my side..what else do I need?
They drive off to meet Vikram and Neha singing and talking.
