Ram gets into the flight and settles down..Priya fills his heart and soul…her laughter, her voice echoes in his ears…His Priya…
Ram (thinks) A week ago, I was a different man- a man who was restless, who was filled with sadness, but life has changed. I feel as if the Gods have smiled upon me and suddenly I see beauty and sunshine all around. Priya, I just cannot bear being away from you anymore..haven’t we waited enough to meet each other? I want you to be mine forever. He takes his phone out and messages..
Ram: Will make you mine very soon…be ready darling.
Priya: (replies immediately) What did you call me? Darling???
Ram: Tho..kya hua..you are my darling. Aren’t you? Waise bahut jaldi reply kar diya.. looks like someone was waiting to hear from me..
Priya: No, I had my phone with me so reply kar diya..waise aapko kya..you just like to trouble me..
Ram: Haan haan phone saath mein leke ghoomthe ho..waiting for my message na?
Priya: Ram, phone bandh kar dijiye..your flight will take off now..
Ram: Darling biwi…meri khabhar abhee se rakhtee ho…mmmm I like it!!
Priya: Ram….
Ram: yes bolo kya baat hai..
Priya: I miss you Ram.. take care and bye and please call me ok?
Ram: (sighs and texts) I miss you too Priya..so jaao..
Priya: Neend nahin aa rahee..
Ram: Dream of me then…
Priya: haaw..
The announcement for switching off mobile phones comes and Ram reluctantly texts bye and switches off his phone.
Ram (thinks) Kaash, I could switch off my mind this way. I just cannot think of anything else.
Priya tosses and turns and finally falls asleep..a tiny beep on her phone wakes her up. She picks it..
Priya: Ram…aap theek thaak pahunch gaye?
Ram: (laughing) Priya…tum soyi nahin kya?
Priya: No, I slept Ram..bas heard the beep of the phone..it was close to me so..
Ram( softly) Kaash mein woh phone hota…
Priya: What did you say?
Ram( chuckles) Priya..should I repeat everything twice ? Anyway go to sleep. I will call you later in the day.
Priya: Ok Ram..take care and take an off today..you must not have slept at night…
Ram: Priya…mmm..laughs..jaane do..I might say something…
Sudhir and Shipra notice that Priya is trying to be more chatty than usual. She takes her parents out for a nice drive. They can sense something different but do not ask her anything.
The Kapoor family are all excited to see Ram after a week..Natasha more excited than the rest of them. Vikram and Neha are also invited to a family dinner to discuss plans.
Ram: Ok folks..I spent a great one week in Kodaikanal. I met up with Karthik’s family. They are lovely people. Choti, you have made a fabulous choice. They are very close-knit and warm. Mujhe nahin lagta I could have found someone so nice for you Choti.
Natasha ( blushes) Thanks bhai..I am happy you liked them all. Did you meet Karthik’s di?
Ram: ( thinks) Oye teri..now how do I answer without letting others know..Priya…why did you ask me to keep quiet when I want to shout from the rooftops that I am in love with you!
Ram: Yeah, I met her as well..she is nice..
Vikram (raises his eyebrow) Nice Ram??? Then she must be someone special..
Ram( glares at Vikram) Shut up Vikram…
Vikram: oh oh someone is angry..
The teasing and laughter continue for a while when Ram suddenly says..
Ram: ok ok bahut ho chukka…well Ma and Dadi..we have to finalise an auspicious day for the engagement and the wedding too..please talk to the Pandit and let me know. I will start making the arrangements.
Natasha: Oh bhai…engagement haan kar lenge but shaadi bhee itni jaldi… Karthik and I want to enjoy for a while..abhi se shaadi ki kya jaldi hai?
Ram: (muttering to himself) tujhe nahin…mujhe hai.. No Choti..he is also settled in life and you have your career as well. Now that you have decided to spend your entire life with him..then why wait?
Dadi and KK agree..Haan beta, Ram sahi keh raha hai..Ram kal hee panditji se baat karte hain and engagement ki date fix kar denge.
KK: Ram, I think we should have the engagement at our farmhouse.. yahaan city mein nahin..and I will speak to Shipraji and talk about the arrangements.
Ram: Thanks Ma..turns to Natasha..
Ram: Vikram..Choti ki chehre pe kya raunak hai na? Haaye haaye I love this blush..arrey I never knew you could blush Choti.. They share a nice round of laughter and jokes.
Vikram and Ram start talking about work when Vikram suddenly asks..
Vikram: Ram…you look so relaxed and happy…something I should know about??
Ram: Vikram..aisa kuch nahin hai..I loved Kodaikanal..have also finalised on a beautiful estate..but Vikram bahut thak gaya hoon yaar..have not slept properly.
Vikram: Haan haan tu mujhe bhagaa raha hai...I know..anyway let us meet at office. But Ram...
Ram: What??
Vikram: Kuch to hua hai and winks..
Ram: Vikram...get lost!!!
Vikram leaves and Ram cannot help grinning... He walks towards his room deep in thought..
Ram: (thinks) Priya...yeh kaisa condition hai?? Today is day 1 and already I am struggling to keep a straight face. Tum yahaan aaogee tho it is going to make my life so difficult..
He leaves Bansi kaka with instructions not to disturb him..
He picks up his phone and dials her number..
Priya: Raaam…I missed you all day..mann nahin lagta..how are you?
Ram does not say anything… he sings softly..

Priya stands in her balcony…a cool wind blows, she inhales the scent of the roses and jasmine and walks into the house.
Ram: Acha..ab kaam ki baat karein? I have spoken to Ma and Dadi and they will fix a date for the engagement. We plan to have it at our farmhouse. I will tell you the dates Priya..please be ready to travel and meet your family…
Priya: Oh…
Ram: Hey biwi.. itna fabulous news diya maine and your reaction is just ‘ OH’! Not done Priya!!
Priya: No, Ram..it is just that I was missing you so much and was wondering when I would be able to see you and this is great news indeed..can’t wait to meet my family..Aapne suddenly aise bataaya so I did not know what to say!

Ram: Let me tell you..once Karthik and Natasha get married.. we will announce to the whole world ok..I want to marry you at the earliest..bahut wait kar liya..no more. But right now it is just you and me...and our love.

Ram: Priya, will tell you once the dates are finalised ok?
But pehle I will call your parents and speak to them…come soon biwi..your husband is waiting…

Ram: Priya...so jaaoon?? But meri neend tho tumne udaa dee..what do I do?
Priya: Raaaaam...good night..
Ram chuckles...Priya...you are blushing again...I love it! Good night biwi. Will call you tomorrow.
The dates are finalised for Karthik and Natasha’s engagement…Priya is busy making arrangements to go to Mumbai with her parents for the engagement. She is happy and goes about packing for the trip humming her favourite song..

Shipra is talking to Ram on the phone about the arrangements..she has her cordless phone in her hands and walks up to Priya’s room…Ram hears Priya singing..he smiles…he knows she is happy …. He cannot wait to see her.
